Cricket ace Steve Harmison will bowl over relatives of a teenager when he plays a special match in her memory. The England and Durham star has organised a charity match in his home town of Ashington, which is set to take place next month in aid of The Laura Dodds Fund.
People are being invited to a special event which will honour servicemen and women who have put their lives on the line in war zones across the world. The Armed Forces Day tribute will be held in People's Park, Ashington, at 11am next Wednesday.
Clive Robertson, from Newbiggin and Chris Aynsley from Ashington get together for the ride, taking in the Capital Cities of Great Britain and Ireland, which raises money for the Special Care Baby Unit at Wansbeck Hospital.
